    What are PFAS?

    PFAS (per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances) are a large group of synthetic organic compounds used in many industrial applications due to their particular chemical properties. They are water-, grease- and dirt-repellent and can therefore be detected in numerous products and materials. Because PFAS are extremely stable, they can persist in the environment for long periods and may enter food – for example via soil, water or packaging materials. In the European Union, certain PFAS have been subject to clearly defined limit values and monitoring requirements since 2023.

    AGROLAB GROUP offers laboratory analyses to reliably determine PFAS in food and feed. Our accredited methods deliver precise results across different product categories and matrices.
