The SEC Symposium “Plant Protection – Yes, but how?” took place on 13 November 2025 in Frankfurt.
The event, jointly organised by the GDCh Senior Experts in Chemistry, the German Sugar Industry Association (WVZ) and the German Crop Protection Association (IVA), brought together experts from science, regulatory bodies, agriculture and industry to discuss the current challenges in plant protection.
AGROLAB GROUP was represented at the event by Dr Frank Mörsberger. He attended the technical sessions, engaged with participants and contributed his expertise in discussions. Of particular relevance to AGROLAB were topics such as the growing regulatory and analytical focus on PFAS, especially trifluoroacetic acid (TFA), in the context of plant protection products.
The programme also addressed residue monitoring, modern screening strategies and analytical questions arising from official and monitoring activities – areas closely linked to AGROLAB’s daily laboratory work.
Participants had the opportunity to speak with Dr Mörsberger on site and discuss analytical aspects related to plant protection.
