Forsa survey on food safety

On the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the QS quality seal, QS GmbH commissioned a representative consumer survey from the forsa institute.

According to the results of the survey, 72% of respondents rate the safety of food in Germany as safe. Particularly in the case of meat, fruit and vegetables, consumers attach importance to regular quality checks and trust that statutory limits for residues are complied with. 78% stated that the situation with regard to safety has improved in recent years. In addition to official food monitoring, manufacturers' and retailers' own inspections by independent private laboratories guarantee that this assessment continues to be shared by the majority of consumers.
