AGROLAB LUFA GmbH in Kiel is once again expanding its analytical portfolio. After kangaroo, brown hare and rabbit, the domestic deer species are now also included in the wildlife portfolio.
Winter time is traditionally game time. Even though the closed season is about to begin, red deer, roe deer and fallow deer meat are appreciated by many meat lovers not only fresh but also frozen all year round as an alternative to beef and lamb.
Game meat also enriches the diet of "dogs and cats" and is offered by manufacturers of high-quality pet food as a special treat in the premium segment.
The development team at AGROLAB LUFA GmbH led by Mrs Palisch and Dr Bruhs has once again been able to expand our range of animal species-specific detections. After kangaroo, brown hare and rabbit, the domestic deer species are now also included in the wildlife species portfolio.
The accredited triplex PCR method allows the simultaneous identification of red deer (Cervus elaphus), roe deer (Capreolus capreolus) and fallow deer (Dama dama) in food and pet food.
