Shortened approval period for several pesticide actives

The authorisation for the use of the following active substances will expire sooner than originally decided. As a rule the maximum residue limits are also subsequently reduced to the limit of determination.

The EU Commission reduced the period of approval for certain actives by regulation 2020/1643 with effect from Oct. 26^th, 2020 retroactively. The member states in which the  active ingredients were used must now in turn withdraw the authorizations for plant protection agents at latest by 04/26/2021 Remaining stocks must be used up by 04/26/2022. The maximum residue limits will probably be reduced to 0,01 mg/kg in the near future.
