Corn

For a few years now in Italy, the ACCREDIA agency has been issuing the RT-11 production certification which regulates the presence of GMO-risk raw materials (soya, maize, rape, cotton and beet).

The purpose of the standard

This NON GMO certification is optional and is based on a few key points:

  • risk analysis of raw materials and processes
  • control and qualification of suppliers
  • GMO analysis of raw materials according to recognised methods
  • reduction of the risk of cross-contamination in the plant
  • control of the entire supply chain up to the finished product

The limit, to be understood as a technically unavoidable and/or accidental maximum limit, is that also provided for by Community legislation: 0.9%.

Agrolab Italia S.r.l. can guarantee the search for all GMO events authorised in Europe with accredited methods based on official JRC and ISO methods and limits of determination and quantification provided for by the standard:

  • Limit of Quantification (LOQ) 0.1%.
  • Detection limit (LOD) less than or equal to 0.045%.

The agri-food technical assistance and your local sales representative will be happy to provide you with all the information you need to sample and interpret the data obtained in the laboratory.
