Unilever has entered into a tie-up with biotech start-up Algenuity. Both companies will work together on “Chlorella vulgaris” microalgae as a nutritious and sustainable protein source.

 

Algenuity is a start-up company active in the research and development of microalgae, which are regarded as “bioreactors” to produce high-value proteins which can replace animal protein for the climate`s sake. In addition algae products are rich in minerals and essential vitamins.
