Our laboratory AGROLAB Italia announced having successfully passed the latest BNN proficiency test for its pesticide residue screening for ecologically products for the several new methods.

Congratulation to our Italian team. They passed again the most demanding proficiency test in pesticide residue analysis in Europe obligatory for laboratories who work for members of the BNN (Bundesverband Naturkost Naturwaren e.V. ) “It is the Association of Organic Processors, Wholesalers and Retailers which represents the interests of the organic food and natural goods sector on a political and economic level. The association participates in the constitution of national and international legislative projects, for example in the enhancements of the EU-Organic Regulations.

BNN adopts special quality guidelines for the organic food trade, for example the benchmarks for pesticide residues in organic products. Pesticide detection is seen by the BNN members as an indication for a possible process control failure, as is notified in the concept of the BNN Orientation Value. This failure has to be identified and corrected in cooperation with the responsible control body. In this way the BNN Monitoring leads to a continuous quality improvement and a high protection of the consumer against fraud.”

Laboratories working for BNN excel among all others not only by highest analytical reliability, but also by experience in correct interpretation of complex results with respect to the requirements of the association.

Our lab sites AGROLAB ItaliaAGROLAB LUFA-ITL and AGROLAB Polska also passed successfully the latest proficiency test issued by QS organisation (QS Qualität und Sicherheit GmbH) and confirmed again by achieving the full score that they belong to the group of leading labs for pesticide residue monitoring in fruit, vegetables and potatoes for QS certified European farmers and retailers.
