Antibiotics

In February, AGROLAB Italia increased the analytical parameters accredited for the control of antibiotics in the meat supply chain.

Increasing the number of accreditated parameters

With the beginning of 2021, the AGROLAB Italia laboratory has extended the number of accredited parameters. The search for antibiotics in the meat food chain is a topic of particular interest for the control of food quality.

AGROLAB Italia offers a large analytical panel for the research of antibiotics starting from beverage water, passing through feed up to control over urine, liver and finally meat.

In this context, the control of the title of drugs added to feed for animal prophylaxis completes the analytical panel.

During the month of February, accreditation for the following molecules became active:

  • Decoquinate
  • Paracetamol
  • Gentamycin
  • Paromomycin
  • Chlortetracycline
  • Sulfadiazine

For the complete list of molecules, contact our technical assistance who will be able to give you detailed information on the complete analytical panel, on the limits of quantification and on the analytical techniques used for the determination of the title of active substances in feed.
