Enthusiastic entrepreneurship, innovative technologies and strong growth are just some of the attributes of the finalists for one of the most highly acclaimed business prizes in the whole of Germany. In recognition of his excellent work for the company, Dr. Paul Wimmer was presented with the coveted “Finalist Entrepreneur Of The Year” award for the AGROLAB GROUP.

On 18 November 2016 at the Museum of German History in Berlin, the 35 finalists of the “Entrepreneur Of The Year” were honoured. This year marked the 20th time that the EOY award was presented in Germany by Ernst & Young (EY) to companies which demonstrate quantifiable top performances, achieve regular innovations and treat their employees fairly.

EY secured the former Federal Minister of Finance, Peer Steinbrück, as the keynote speaker. In his speech, Mr Steinbrück discussed the fundamental importance of a successful cooperation between the worlds of politics and business. He highlighted the ethical responsibility held by every entrepreneur as well as the necessity to recognise business achievements and successes in society.

During the celebrations, news presenter Judith Rakers from TV channel ARD hosted the schedule with elegance and charm. In the “Service / IT” category Dr. Paul Wimmer, CEO of the AGROLAB GROUP, took to the stage as a finalist and accepted the award on location in Berlin.

He was very pleased to be among the finalists for the EOY: “I value my nomination for the Entrepreneur Of The Year award very highly because it is recognition of my decades-long dedication to the world of business. The prize also recognizes the hard work put in by all of the AGROLAB employees: Their innovative technological ideas and their daily efforts to ensure that we have a strong customer loyalty,” explained Wimmer.
