Cocoa

AGROLAB LUFA has passed the European interlaboratory benchmark test Acrylamide in cocoa powder with "very good"..

In the last issue, we reported on AGROLAB LUFA's excellent performance in the proficiency test for furan and alkylated furans (EURL-PC PT-2023-13) in a salted, baked cereal product.

In the meantime, we have also received the result of the EU proficiency test for "acrylamide in cocoa powder" (EU-PC-PT-2023-14) and are pleased to have passed this test with "very good". This must be the case, as AGROLAB LUFA was one of the first European laboratories to offer this analysis using LC MS/MS.

We have been analysing acrylamide in food since 1985. This year alone we analysed approx. 7300 food samples for this contaminant by the end of November.

Further information on acrylamide can be found in numerous previous issues of RADAR. Simply enter the search term "acrylamide" in the search mask on the AGROLAB website or simply click on this link.
