On March 1st it was announced that Faber will become a non-executive chairman resigning as CEO, after separation of the roles of CEO and chairman at Danone. Now two weeks later he was kicked out completely.

The rumours said, it was not only because of a pandemic-caused underperformance of the food business and a continuous loss in the share value, but some share-holders were disappointed about Faber’s strategic moves too towards more social responsibility and sustainability as company goal.
