Paragraf

The authorisation for use of the active substance in insecticides shall expire. As a rule, the maximum residue limits are also subsequently reduced to the limit of determination.

The EU Commission withdrew the approval of beta-cyfluthrin (CAS No. 1820573-27-0) with the EU 2020/892 regulation on June 30, 2020, because health risks for users could not be excluded and various arthropods could be unintentionally harmed. The regulation comes into force on 20.07.2020.

The 22 member states in which the active substance was used must now in turn withdraw authorisations for plant protection products by 20.01.2021. Germany is not one of them, as preparations containing ß-cyfluthrin were not approved here.

Users have until 20.7.2021 to use up any remaining stocks.
